A SYSTEM OF GRAPHIC FORMS OF REPRESENTATION IN SOLVING THE PROBLEM OF UNDERSTANDING THE TASK INFORMATION
Abstract
As the title implies the article describes the topical problem of diagnostics of learners’ understanding level of the task information in the studying technical subjects. It is revealed that the previously developed criteria for understanding verbal material is insufficient for studying the most engineering disciplines and it is required the expansion of the diagnostic criteria of understanding. It is connected with using the artificial abstract languages. The understanding is characterized as the process of extracting the meanings and associated with the experience of the subject of cognition, which in turn is a tool for shaping the image of reality. Relying on the axiom that self-extracting meanings from objective reality gives man not only a quantitative increase, but the change of its qualitative characteristics, projected opposition scale that allows you to track how the learner understands the task information. It should be stressed the importance of a systematic approach that allows you to see task information in a hierarchical structure and development in time. This gives you the ability to transfer objective components of subjective task based on the experience of the subject of cognition. It is described the diagnostic toolkit, which allows to identify the level of understanding the problems by the students and to make easier the process of understanding due to making the algorithm of this activity with psychological and pedagogical instruments. We discuss the system model of the graphical representation of information and its role in educational process.
