Аннотация

Аннотация. В нашем воспитании традиционны установки, что в межличностных отношениях ключевую роль играет внутренний мир человека, при этом его внешность имеет некое несущественное значение или вовсе его не имеет. Целью работы являлось изучение данных специальной литературы по вопросу влияния внешности человека на его адаптацию в обществе. Результаты. Исследования психологов и других специалистов, рассматриваемые в приводимом обзоре литературы, убеждают в том, что внешность человека играет существенную роль в его социальной адаптации, и эта роль в значительной степени определяется биологическими факторами, действующими не только в сообществах животных и влияющими в них на половой отбор, но и в человеческой среде.
