Abstract
The article is concerned with the study of police officers experiences of psycho-traumatic situations using a clinical-psychological method (the original method of clinical-psychological interview “Questionnaire of Reviewing Traumatic Experience”) and traditional test methods “Traumatic Stress Questionnaire” and “Somatic Adaptation Assessment Scale”. The authors have presented the results of the study of the traumatic experience of police officers and the psychological consequences of experiencing potentially traumatic situations, taking into account their content and relevance. The data of individual cases concerning the content of traumatic experiences and their dynamics is summarized. With the help of empirical research methods, it is shown that the experience of difficult life situations by police officers is reflected in post-traumatic symptoms, while the collision of police officers with threatening situations had a lesser effect on the development of psychic traumatization.Downloads
