PECULIARITIES OF SELF-ESTEEM OF VOLUNTARY REHABILITANTS, ADDICTED TO PSYCHOACTIVE SUBSTANCES

Abstract
Psychological rehabilitation of persons addicted to PAS and, particularly, narcotic substance is inextricably linked to problem of self-esteem as well as part of personality’s self-awareness and as one of main factors of treatment and rehabilitation process and also targets for psychotherapeutic psychological correction measures. The aim of the study was to identify characteristics of self-esteem, level of aspiration and awakening of the disease among drug-addicted patients in comparison with a control group. Authors present the results of studying of self-esteem and associated with it clinical-psychological significant characteristics of 159 people from two experimental groups and one control group (healthy subjects). The results of the study showed that low self-esteem of patients with clinically apparent risk factors and presentations of PAS addiction are, on the one hand, a predictor of forming of more obvious addiction, but, on the other hand, experimental target for psychocorrectiv and psychotherapeutic work.Downloads
